HSBC Vietnam useless customer service - HSBC Premier Vietnam
Expats or Locals please dont open accounts with HSBC in Vietnam.
The customer service is woeful. My HSBC debit card has been used fraudulently online, it is clearly obvious this was not me as the purchases were made in the Philippines/on Philippine websites.
I have even contacted the merchants myself and raised the issue and they have started a refund process. HSBC Vietnam does nothing, they do not refund the money and they constantly say that they will call back with updates - but never do.
I have missed flights and multiple meetings owing to this issue.
Additionally when I transfer funds INTO HSBC Vietnam I have to call them every time and request that the funds are allocated to my account. No other bank is so archaic slow and frankly rude to its customers.
Please avoid HSBC in Vietnam, it is a hopeless bank with no interest in serving customers with rude staff and dated slow old process.
This is unique to HSBC in Vietnam, I have experience with many banks in Vietnam both local and international - all miles and miles better than HSBC.
